I've always loved reading. Getting lost in the library among shelves of books, browsing through used book stores and finding all sorts of treasures, cozying up at home for an entire weekend with a good book. Books offer adventure, wisdom, entertainment, new information, new perspectives - all of which are great things to give someone. If you have book lovers on your shopping list I've done the heavy lifting for you and came up with a list of options that any book lover will ... View Post
Books Worth Reading ☆ November 2018
It seems like whenever I get a chance to read lately, I'm binge reading. Forget the dirty dishes piling up in the sink. Forget the laundry that needs to be put away. I've got books to read. My recent reading marathons may also be because of the cooler weather and my desire to do nothing other than cozy up inside on the couch with a blanket, a cup of hot cider and a good book. I'm sure I'm not alone with my binge reading habits. When you find a good book it's hard to put it down and that was ... View Post

I'll just keep embracing the few spare moments and slow-paced weekends that are primed for reading. So let's get to it... Grandma’s Curried Chicken & Rice
When I think about my favorite foods at Grandma's house while I was growing up, Curried Chicken and Rice is definitely at the top of the list. Along with kolaches and homemade banana bread. And Tang. Bleh. How did I ever drink that stuff?! But I think everything always tasted amazing at Grandma's house for some reason. Even regular ole' spaghetti. A simple lettuce salad always tasted better at Grandma's house too but that may have been because Grandma always had bacon bits. This ... View Post
