I’ve always loved reading. Getting lost in the library among shelves of books, browsing through used book stores and finding all sorts of treasures, cozying up at home for an entire weekend with a good book.
Books offer adventure, wisdom, entertainment, new information, new perspectives – all of which are great things to give someone.
If you have book lovers on your shopping list I’ve done the heavy lifting for you and came up with a list of options that any book lover will enjoy.

7 Gift Ideas for Book Lovers

#1 Local Library Card
Depending on how your local library is funded, there may not be a fee to get access to a library card. We live outside of our local library’s township which means we pay a whopping $40 per year to access their books and services. That’s a bargain, friends. A great investment in my opinion.
A few years ago my mom purchased our annual library card for us for Christmas and it was the gift that kept on giving all year long and I’ve renewed our library card ever since.
I especially enjoy having access to Nebraska OverDrive with the Libby app. I love “real” books but I’ve been reading a lot of ebooks on the app lately and I’ve gotten some of my friends hooked on the app too.
#2 Book Nook Accessories
There’s nothing better than having an uninterrupted afternoon to curl up with a soft blanket, a warm cup of coffee and a good book that you don’t want to put down.
Whether your book nook is a window seat, your favorite couch or recliner, in the high traffic living room or in a quiet corner of the house, these book nook accessories ideas will be warmly welcomed by any book lover.
So maybe I’m weird but I love the smell of books. Especially brand new books. But since I’ve been reading a lot of e-books on the Libby app, I haven’t been able to enjoy that new book scent but this bookstore scented candle will help create the whole library/bookstore experience right at home in your book nook.
For the hard copy books I do own and cherish, I get great satisfaction from seeing them stacked up, ready to be fully absorbed. The table-top book stand is a great way to beautifully display them and who wouldn’t enjoy a warm blanket and pillow to curl up with in a cozy nook? Adequate lighting is also key for any good book nook.
#3 Personalized Library Stamp
Listen, friends. Sharing is caring and sharing the gift of knowledge and wisdom through books is so wonderful.
But I’ll be honest. If I’m letting you borrow a book, I want it back. Books are like my babies. That’s how much I cherish them.
If you have a book lover in your life that feels the same way about their books, get them this personalized library stamp. It’s just the cutest thing and it will help them make sure they get their babies back.
#4 Book Reading Apparel
I love love love this “Book Heartbeat” t-shirt, this “Synonym Rolls” t-shirt and this “Bookmarks Are For Quitters” t-shirt from Etsy. So cute and so fun and don’t they look so cozy?!
These socks, scarf, leg warmers and slippers also make for cozy book reading apparel.
#5 Book-Themed Coffee Mug
Because books and a warm cup of coffee, hot chocolate or cider just go together.
Plus, if you’re anything like me, it takes about 3 hours to drink one cup of coffee so this beverage warmer would come in super handy during a reading marathon.
#6 Audible
If the book lover on your Christmas list doesn’t already have Audible, a subscription would be like gifting them an entire library of audiobooks.
I’ve been taking advantage of audiobooks while I’m at work (rather than listening to music) and at home while I’m cooking dinner or doing laundry. They’re a great, convenient way to maximize your book consumption.
#7 Kindle Paperwhite
If the book lover on your list is really getting serious about consuming e-books, the Kindle Paperwhite is the perfect gift idea.
Which of these would be on the top of your wish list?
